Invaders & Defenders History Day
​at Fort Purbrook

18th July

Join us for this incredible one day history event at Fort Purbrook, looking at the history of the local area from Iron Age & Romans, through Saxons, all the way to the 15th Century! 

Explore the living history encampments of numerous different groups, immerse yourself in history as you learn about everyday life & crafts, skills and combat!

at Rockbourne Roman Villa
1st & 2nd August

The Romans (and Saxons) are coming! 

Join us at Rockbourne Roman Villa for a weekend celebrating the site, including living history camps, ancient crafts, tours of the site, and combat displays including Gladiatorial Games!

at Queen Elizabeth Country Park

8th & 9th August

Find our encampment nestled amongst the various displays and atractions to celebrate the beauty of the South Downs National Park at this wonderful event!

Festival of History
at Arundel Castle

29th - 31st August

Join us for this Festival of History spanning thousands of years as we travel from the Stone Age all the way up to present day! 

Our encampment will be nestled amongst Romans, Normans, 14th Century Gunners and Knights, with combat & archery displays throughout each day!

​Equinox Boat Burn & Vikings Attack!
at Butser Ancient Farm

​19th & 20th September

Explore the living history camps of both Vikings & Saxons, as well as the beautiful Saxon Halls at the Butser Ancient Farm site! There will be crafts & talks, as well as combat & archery displays throughout the day!

​The Equinox Boat burn will occur on Saturday 19th, in the afternoon & evening, and will include live music, food vans, entertainers, storytellers, traders and more! There will be a combat display between the Saxons & Vikings, and the evening will culminate in procession up to the wicker boat, which will be set alight amid drumming & dancing!

Saxon Saga, Living History & Fire Festival
at West Horsley Place

24th & 25th October

Join us at the beautiful West Horsley Place for a weekend of Anglo Saxon stories, sagas & history! 

Explore a time when the lord of the manor was a Saxon thegn called Beortsighe - discover West Horsley Place’s earliest history through historic food tastings, crafts, re-enactment and storytelling!


We will be setting up our Saxon encampment and bringing our very best crafts, skills & warriors to demonstrate everything from blacksmithing to dyeing, combat displays to healing!
