Herigeas Hundas are a family friendly group who try and encourage everyone to take part in all aspects of camp life.
Whilst kit for training can be provided by the group resources in the beginning, basic things like gloves will need to be purchased as soon as possible if members wish to take part in combat training.
All other kit can be obtained over time but please check with our new member mentors and Authenticity Officer for advice and recommendations before purchasing any significant items to avoid getting your hands on anything that you will not be able to use as part of your 5th to 7th century Saxon interpretation.
We also ask that members are realistic in the items purchased as you are responsible for transporting your own equipment to and from shows, unless prior arrangements have been made with other members.
We encourage family's to join as children and families were as much part of Anglo Saxon life. Parents and guardians will be expected to be responsible for the safety and welfare of any children who join with them, whether that is at training or in and out of camp at shows or events.
You can find an expected basic kit list below, but if you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.
We look forward to hearing from you!
